Thought id post up my mk1 :)bought it xmas time 2011 (sorry for rubbish pics)


it needed some love so treated it to new rear valance and arches, and had the paint freshened up!


still got to fit new bumpers and decide wether to fit spats or not?

have a set of 15" p slots being refurbed to go on soon

and finally found a tidy red stripe interior to go in too :)also looking for at fitting a 16v on carbs :)should be on the road in time for the summer

Looks tidy Daz.

Sounds like your going for more standard look so I'd say yes to the spats.

Check out for sale section, George has a nice 16V lump on carbs for sale if you're ready for one now?  :cool:

lol iv already spoke to him dude :) as far as im concerned its myn! :) just waiting for paypal address for deposit :)

as for the spats i bought some cl spats, then changed my mind, then thought of having them wrapped in carbon, then thought il go back to standard gti spats… u get the idea haha

at the moment im thinking gti spats and stripes back on down the sides.

im thinking standard looks, with lows, but fancy a second set of wider wheels so i can swap them about :)

Nice car fella, great colour too ! I would put the side trim on personally but she would look great either way.

ah should of said i bought new black metal side trims, which are now fitted :) was debating the lower black stickers...but think im gonna put them on too now

Yep go for side stickers!

That engine will be spot on. Would have beaten you to it if I was in need of a motor, it looks spot on and George is sound, been around here since the beginning so you'll have no bother with him  :cool:Look forward to seeing your updates

Got my seats the other day - whats the best thing to clean them with? i dont want to make them all saggy or ruin them any way!

I use autoglym foam upholstery spray. You don't need too much water with it and it does work well
