engine mounts vr6

hi
would a mk3 vr6 slot straight in a mk1 gti and how much work would need doing? the 2.0l 8v thts in there now wasnt finished properly n is frankly sh*t so after set backs i want sumthing a bit better but not much work lol

dont go for the vr6 its a lot of work go for something easier like a 16v, 20v or G60 and these can all have the same power of a vr6

my mate who ownes a very reputable garage is currently doing this in his caddy and then my mk1 next month, iv spoken with him and he says all this is absolute rubbish and its a fairly straight forward conversion. if you want this conversion go for it, as for it being heavy well a grown make can lift the vr engine on his own.
the yanks have neeb doing this conversion for years.

My poor rabbit would fell apart if i'd put a vr6 in it.
