Dirty Diesel GX Project

my new project gx mk1 picking it up tomorrow morning. it`s been off the road since 2002 according to the tax disc so will need some work to get it on the road. plans are to turn it into a iz tdi`d daily driver.i`ve never worked on one of these before  it`s gonna be a steep learning curve so apologies in advance for the inevitable thread full of questions  :wink:

here`s a couple of pics to get started, looks a little shabby and this is the good side  



needs new rear hatch as this one is rotten



and the drivers side need a front wing and front door here



fugly spot lights drilled through the front panel  




on the brightside the main body is good and straight small bit of rust in the sills and inner rear arch other than that it appears good, hopefully won`t find any more nasties when i remove the arches tomorrow. interior is all there and pretty clean.clock is showing 193k ! should be fun seeing if i can get it running.

paid 475 euro for it don`t think i did too bad they`re scarce enough over here so can`t be too choosey  :wink:
those pics are from the po`s house in graignemanagh co kilkenny, lovely place.

right then i spent the day stripping out the interior and cleaning the seats and the inside of the car, found a little hole under the rear seat nothing major mind so i`m happy enough so far. the front end of the sills need work inside and outside, i knew this from when i went to view it, looks like the damage was done by jacking it up and the bottom lip on the sills has folded up on itself, bit of rust there too so i`ve been looking for repair sections to get this sorted. pulled off the arch trims too and found fillers behind, don`t look too bad though so easy enough to sort out.
i need the section in the pic below, anyone know where these can be bought ? or are they included in cq`s complete sill panels ?
