realisticly all "cold air feed" it is is a tube pointing at the filter, it wont give you more power, not enough to ofset the weight of carrying around a tube everyware anyhoo…
You couldn't be more wrong. Cold air is absolutely paramount to an engine making power, tuners go to great lengths to isolate heat from intake.
A few degrees off the charge temperature can make a phenomenal differerence in potential power gains.
There again, if you just bolt a halfords tacky anodised 'DVH' kit to the front of your Corsa - probably not.
Needs to be properly located and the fuelling optimised to suit….

But tbh i would just sell it and save the time, effort and money of fitting something that will create no real gains, if not loses.

in a 1.1 :? i dont meean to be funny but tuners run a lot more than 50 od hp so the persentage gain is noticable.

Funny how you'll spend £50+ on making your 1.1 run potentially worse and with the added bonus of increased engine wear.
All for the sake of a whaaaap noise - then voice concerrns that you wont like the noise

Induction kits, if not shielded from the heat of the engine can potentially cause power loss by drawing in a hotter intake charge.
Our Results using heat shields enclose and aftermarket Pipercross air filter versus the standard air box.
Urban driving: max: + 6.8hp with heat shields - temps 14C lower with heat shields over standard air box.
urban driving: avg + 5.84hp with heat shields - temps 12C lower with heat shields over standard air box.
open road: avg + 4.38hp with heat shields - temps 9C lower with heat shields over standard air box.
These gains solely take into consideration the hp gains due to lower temps and not the hp gains that the induction filter may also bring, in reality the gains are probably larger due to the use of a freer flowing air filter.
Air Filter Heat Shields - 4 DIY Layouts Compared to the Stock Airbox
start with 50 hp and with a performance induction kit and a cold air feed the gain will be 2.2 hp following the same ratio
not quite 5% even
compared to the cost of the Pipercross kit i wouldnt waste my money
You thought of boring it out?

you trying to say cold air will give an extra 10%
It's not possible to give values like that - whenever you see claims of extra % power then treat it as rubbish. As it depends on so many things.
However if your current setup is poor i.e. a drilled airbox or cone filter sucking hot air from the engine bay and then you convert it to a decent cold air fed filter - that is also isolated from the engine bay - then it is entirely conceivable to make considerable gains.
