buy MK1 1.8 GTi

I would like to buy a MK1 1.8 GTi. What do you think it is too high in counter a 180 000 mile?

180,000 is not too high. Depends on overall condition of the car really as to how much work you must put to it.

For the engine, 180k miles may mean the cylinder head needs some work but the bottom end should be good for at least 250,000 miles if well serviced.
