Briant's GTi restro project

Here is my '82 1.6 GTi restro poject its a bit pic heavy to start with, plans are going a bit slower than id hoped but a lots of rust repair needed
ill let the pics do talking for now and will update in more detail as i go
any comments welcome

plans are sodablasting shell and respray inside and out , full interior retrim,powder coating of all suspension bits, new bushings,brakes ,engine rebuild etc
keeping her 100% orignal except for maybe shock/spring setup (just a little lower)
when i started before xmas i hoped to be taking it to gti international in june at the speed things are going ill be lucky to make it for 2011

Just quick update i removed the Skuttle panel as im replacing it with a rust free panel and found a good bit of rot underneath
Removed outer skin of A pillars and repaired drip rails and section of L/H main pillar
Repaired a section of the inner l/h valance under skuttle panel
have all the Plenum Chamber repaired and all primed up next is to trim up the replacement skuttle panel and refit the outer A pillar skin
i also got myself a good battery tray all the way from isle of man via this site so now can get my engine bay finished and primed
