Moved this to "Your cars and projects" section mate.

In the daylight that looks good  :) … only a few rust spots on the doors so for 29 years old that's good!!

And pics of the engine and interior?

Standard is sooo cool!  It's the future!  Is it as solid as it looks?

Current:   Porsche 914 1973
Previous: Ghia, Golf Country 3 Trekkers, 2 Bugs, Trabby, Split Ambulance, Iltis etc.

Do the insurance companies still use groups to class cars in, or do they now consider each one on its own individual merits? I guess the thing to do is get insurance on a cheap car, build up a couple of years NCB and not get any more points etc. Also of course, if you're young then getting older will decrease the premium. I thought Mk1 Golf 1.3 would be pretty near the bottom of the group classification, and if not then anything lower is going to be a bit rubbish?

I think with a good cleanup, a fresh MoT and no mechanical issues, £600-800 is realistic. However if it has no MoT then its as discussed before, £150. So you can see its worth sorting out any little mech gremlins and getting a fresh test on it!
