83 GTi Untouched for the last 5 years

Not been on here for a while, but after 5 years I finally got my MK1 back to my house. I'd forgotten how good they look.

Its totally standard apart from the Campaign wheels and a Koni Shocks/Spring setup.
I think its about time I tried to scrape some cash toghether to get it taxed and MOTd.

stunning condition.  i'm looking to get back into a mk1 gti after having owned one many years ago.  moved onwards and upwards all the way to a porsche 911 in the end.

i neither have the time nor the talent to restore a car.  how much would a car like this cost if i could find one?

Certainly is, made a huge difference than standard. Just needs tidying up with regads the wiring.  The blue/whire cable looped up is for an oil temp if I ever fit a sender.

It is a big shame not to be driving it, but money came short and I left my job. Then  got a company motor so using this all the time seemed far to easy. At least i've not let it rust away like you sometimes see.

God only knows mate. It took me nearly 18 months to find mine and that was years back. I bet there arn't that many untouched standard motors left any more.
