81 GTi after full nut and bolt restore from years of storage
Hi guys, new to being a member of the forum but ive been checking out threads on hear for ages, thought i would post up a few pics of my second project after giving it a full nut and bolt restore. Its not quite finished yet, still need a front splitter some other trim bits and a good polish. Kinda trying to stick to an oem style with a few of my own twists for good measure……
Engine is a newly rebuilt 2l 8v lightened and balanced bottom end and clutch, big valve polished and ported head with 286 cam and vernier using a big ol set of twin 45's to get the air ad fuel in. Hoping for a power output of around the 165 BHP mark, should make for some fun
