78' resto

ive been looking for a project for a while after selling my mk1 last year. managed to find this about 10 miles from my house. it needs a few bits of welding doing and then a respray. plans are to get all the bodywork done then either a 1.8 16v or 2.0 16v on carbs. I hopefully should be picking it up in the next couple of weeks. il update the thread as i go along.

i finally managed to get down to my garage to get some pics. the plans are to replace both rear arches and the drivers side sill (pas side has already been done). its got a new front panel on but i think it needs re-welding. and the corners of the screen surround need tidying up. and  hopefully i should be able to get it all sorted ready for paint over the winter.

that looks absolutely lush mate, i would love to have a series 1, looks fairly tidy too, best of luck
