16v conversion+webbers

hi there, im currentley undertaken then challange of doing a 16v conversion on a mk1 golf 1.1 to a 1.8 16v.

it hasnt taken too long considering i have rebuilt the entere engine, with new pistons etc. and also finding time to do it with work being so demanding! lol

Nice work mate, wher did you get your inlet manifold from?? thinking about doing this in mine when i get a bit off spar cash  8)

there is a place called rally-design, they specialise in performance parts, i would be lost without them.!  :wink:  :lol:

thanks guys, yea i have put quite alot of work and effort into it, got it kinda started yesterday……bit afraid of it now after hearing it fire up!  :?

bearing in mind its only got the 4-1 manifold attached to the block! lol  :lol:

Quality stuff this dude - what sort of tools did you use to port your head and how long did it take you?

thanks bud, i used a dremmal drill with tunkstan carbine bits to cut the material to the right size, then i used and selection on corn rolls (special shaped sanding heads) to fine out the scratches, then used flappy paper to remove the slight scratches. then i used a polishing bud to buff out the material.

it took about 8hours in total.  :D
