Just bought this car of this website, getting delivered tomorrow, here are some pics. Let me know your thoughts. Plan is to get it back as original as possible

Apparently very rare, maybe the experts here can confirm this, my pics wont show, any1 know how to get them up?

is this the one from durham, i pm'd him to ask for pics as i was interested in it also, looks alright for the price.

yes went up for sale yesterday and he wanted £600 so transporter will deliver tomorrow, Has 104k on the clock

you almost had it right, you just need to right click the image on photobucket and copy the image code, then put around the code

So happy your pleased with the car. Fantastic it started up on the button after been stored for over 10 years. Sorry to everyone who Pm'd me about the car for pictures. Tried to get them out as soon as I could, sold quickly tho for £600 Bargain. Looking forward to seeing the resto in due course.

Got a new engine for me camper, so hopefully looking to get another MK1 gti by the end of the year !!!!!

Got delivered this morning, noticed some life in the battery, started 1st time, engine sounds great and no knocks, very happy with this.

Just had a look a 2 lhasa green doors for mk1 so will keep updated with pics and work in progress

Thanks, my plan is to get all the mechanicals fixed 1st then attend to the body whether welding and replacing panels, have got many genuine new parts already from South Africa, thanks guys so next update will be with some pics of the work done

ok just an update of the little work done so far, i have replaced both front brake discs with mintex and also ferodo disc pads and then realised that there are no caliper bolts. Does any1 know were i could buy these from? Have got a mobile welder coming to view the car this week so hopefully i can get the body sorted
