thanx, the gt stripes were fitted standard from the vw plant here in SA, the way u see the car excluding the rims ant he red vw badge came standard….the other option will be a set of cups wheels like i had on mk1 jetta…

No doubt about it, keep the bbs! Cups arnt even in the same league! Try splitting the bbs and adding some coloured centers!

The problem with early golfs is they never usually suit modern wheels..

However, I'm liking the Schmidt idea - my personal favourites are TH line or Modern line 8)

Agreed it's a very tidy motor, and will look brilliant with your planned wheels
