'87 White Cabrio

Bought this golf in sept last year and has been in storage since then due to money and space, but finally got a place to start working on it again!
This is what it was like when I bought it:
He was dirty and didn't smell so good but was a solid little car

Took it down to the garage to have an MOT and then got it on the drive and scrubbed it clean:

Has been out a couple of times at the end of last year but headlights kept cutting out and decided to store it and get a daily runner till I had the time and money to start on it again

Bought a couple of things in the meantime, needed a new petrol cap, an interior mirror, new suspension and bought a set of bumpers as front one's missing- hoping to get the suspension and bumpers sorted soon

Also replaced the crappy CD player with an old tape deck, works and can plug an AUX cable into it so can't complain 

Fellas been busy in the garage this week,
Took the front end off the car to see the state of under the hood
Rust and gunk everywhere:




Flushed through the rad pipes, not a pretty sight!

Started tidying up little bits while he sorted out the front end:





Looking a lot tidier/cleaner now:



Bolted on the front grill- Looking loads better already
