So the plan is to completely rebuild it, luckily the only bit of root on the whole car is on the tail gate so no welding is needed as I will buy a new one. Luckily I do all of the work apart from the respray myself which will be In VW carbon steel grey.
the first thing I started doing was stripping it back so I can find out exactly what I need to buy new and what needs a refurb.
i decided to start in the boot and work my way through the car
here is some pics of my progress so far
since these pictures were taken I have also removed the complete loom, drive shafts, servo, pedals and everything else in the engine bay.
The next step is removing the heater and the remainder of the interior such as the front carpet and the drivers door panel before getting it on the ramp to start under there!!!!!
