Thanks but dosnt help, cannot see how to opt out. With respect to those who put their time into running this site, I find it the hardest to actually do anything on it apart from a simple post, out of all the sites I go on.

im not sure how to do it just something im sure i read on a similar thread

Hi,
As Scott says they are actually a conversation and both parties have to trash them and then the system will remove them.
(1) Click Private Topics in the menu bar below the banner.
(2) Tick the box at the end of each PT you want to trash.
(3) Scroll to the bottom and in the "Topic/poll actions:" box select "Categorise Private Topics".
(4) Click Proceed.
(5) Choose "Trash" then click "Categorise Private Topics".
You can also use the same method to create folders where you manage your PT's into categories if you want.
Trashed Topics will only disappear if the other person does the same.
