No it's not a daily driver, but I do tend to go out for a drive in it a lot  :mrgreen:

Fair play in using Mk1 as a daily driver, I had to use mine as a daily driver a couple of years ago and as much as I love her, I didn't half miss the mod cons on modern vehicles  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:

I am the opposite…Had a few nice motors in the with all that electronic wizardary; Golf Mk4, BMW 325ci Sport, EP9 Type-R…but you just can't get the smiles per minute that you get out of a car with a bit of character, and as simple as a Golf!

Don't get me wrong, I do like the cruise control, heated seats and the safety systems that you get on vehicles of late…but when it comes to the crunch, if its boring to drive because its got more gizmos than your living room, what is the point!

And hey, even the other half loves driving it! With one car in the household, then that is one heck of a bonus!
