Blue Mk1 ??GX?? spotted pulling out of Rich Way onto the Watton today in Brecon.  I passed in silver GX.

Hooted four times, driver wasn't interested!

I live nr Hay,only bought the blue one to use whilst  my proper mk1 was having a new motor,that was about 5 months ago, if only i knew it would take sooo long, ,paintwork poor on bonnet,previous owner botched it with a spray can! interier is mint,81,000  goes well for an auto,are there many mk1,s around  this area,saw a tidy red 1 around Crickhowel a while back.

I've not seen many.

There're a few Sciroccos in and around Talgarth, where I work.

There was a debumpered Mk1 Driver living in Glangrwyne, might've been the one you saw in Crick, but that's gone I think.. not owned by 'one of us' though, think he was a chav..

And I saw a black GTI between the Nantyffin Cider Mill and Crickhowell, stopped for a quick chat but was on my way to Bristol Airport so couldn't stay long.  Didn't actually ask where he's from!   :dontknow:

But no, not many.  In the 4 months I've owned mine, only seen four locally - two cabbies passing through Bronllys, the black GTI and yours.

On your site, whose is the red Mk1?  Looks two-tone, could be the light.

I'm off to the Netherlands for a few months soon - if I have any spare money I may be interested in a valet before I go.  Prob won't have spare money, but just 'if'.  How long's your waiting list, and how long does a Full Valet take?

Hi,the mk1 on my site was given to me ,was parked in a field behind the Harp inn in Glasbury for 4 yrs ! got some jump leads and it fired up,drove it home and spent 2days on it ,the painted half was serious rust blisters so i sprayed it with the nearest colour i had,took it to Kingsland Auction and got ?100,i was gutted,1.6 diesel.        I also own a burgandy mk1 that was a 1.6 diesel when i bought it 2 yrs ago but now its having a 1.8mk2 gti motor, its almost mint now that its got new rear arches.      Can always make time to valet mk1,s .       often  going to Hereford,and yeah your right MASSIVE  carpark.

were you here a few weeks ago in the brown one -stalled outside a cornershop, with a dodgy bloke just staring? :mrgreen:

Hi, only time i broke down was about 18 months ago in a Gold mk1,left it at Oakchurch over night.  i,ve had 6 mk1,s over the years,    1-  A reg black gti sold it to a chap in Hereford,   2-y reg gold driver converted to diesel sold on ebay,  3-yreg burgandy 1.1 now in Talgarth, 4-yreg 1.6d in two tone burgandy sold at Kingsland auction, 5-yreg burgandy 1.6 d waiting to get back with gti heart. 6-yreg blue 1.5 auto current daily drive.

Hi, sold it to my bro who sold it to a lad called Jake Gerrish his dad is the manager at National tyres in Brecon and is into Audi,s, bro tells me its in pieces and is going to be restored ! ,seemed a tidy car when i had it .
