Abandoned? Clipper Cab spotted near Padiham

Found this,

Parked up on an industrial estate near Padiham, tax disc expired in mid 2006, no seats, 2 good deep blue(helious?) doors in it though. also has a relatively new looking pattern bonnet on. was very tempted to pop the bonnet as was unlocked but resisted temptation(plus did'nt fancy getting shouted at! :roll:
Was tempted to put ask around but it was late and could'nt find anyone…
other than seats, looks nice and complete, could make someone a nice resto…

Anyone know it?

no tax or insurance.. could be stolen and dumped? sure it will get scrapped if no one can save her..

just got back from another look at the old girl and fortunatly she has an owner spoke to him this evening... planning full resto in near future...tom :wink:

I did yeah, first he was really like'what you doing looking at my car'(as i think anyone here would be like, then told him i was a member of the club and he kind of settled down and became more friendly, said he was going to stick a diesel in it(helped having club sticker in the back of car!).

Told him he should really lock it and maybe put a cover over it( roof has clearly leaked,or rather leaking). he asked me what he thought he'd need for conversion, told him i did'nt no much about diesel conv. but siad he'd need gti tank(?) and i thought he could use original gearbox, had left my phone at home would have give him my number and a few helpful contacts otherwise…

Just glad its got an owner really, was to good to have just left to rot.
