Looks like a really good project (for someone with more time and space than me!!)
Most of the hard to find bits seem to be there….

Got my eye on this. Good project for someone to take on with the right bits and pieces. Definately worth saving

Yeah so am I to cover up and work on bit by bit. Must resist and finish mine first though

Yeah but it does say "but the original engine could be sourced if buyer requests". I suspect someone removed it as part of a 'project' but didn't get very far.  Not long to Go.  I hope someone gets it and brings it back to its former glory.

True but the restoration cost won't be a lot more than a S2 gti and the end result will probably be worth double

I'm aware of the value of s1 Gtis when restored mate. I'd happily pay 1350 for the above.
