Saw this the other day. I wasn't sure if it's a genuine S1 on an X-plate? It's got a 1.8 engine too, not 1.6

…that said the chassis number looks like it's on the suspension turret which would be right for an S1

I wouldn't like to pass judgement on that without seeing it and its paperwork in the flesh but i doubt its a bargain.

Don't like the look of those gutters tbh. Looks like it could be a can of worms.

I may be wrong , but my gut instinct says  something doesn't seem right above it being a one owner car, ?
I can't imagine the original owner adding those alloys and seat covers..if the seats never been sat on surely that would be a great selling point to uncover them ..

Mk1 2l TSR G60.  .getting. There twice as fast

Mk1 lhd diesel…….getting. There for half the cost

Agreed, also if it's been in Spain last 27 years  how was it due tax in 98?

Agreed, bottom of drivers wing, top of wing, gutters, rear window, all look in need of attention.

Tax was last due in 1988. Maybe you should have gone to spec savers!

Not really that expensive if it's a respray and tart up of several grand.
Then you have a cracking s1 gti for sub £10k with 1 previous owner and sub 70k miles.

Especially if the seats are meant to be mint and no serious rust ??

wont fetch 10k with a 1.8 no mater how good the paint.

Hi
It just doesnt look like a proper S1 to me, maybe its the s2 bumpers that are fitted & the foglights. If its though a mint S1 GTI would be worth a fortune
cheers
