budget of £400

Hi All,

i have a budget of £400 and was wondering which budget coilover's people have used and would recommend?

I have a MK1 Gab 1991 1.8 Clipper

I dont use the car daily but i do use here a couple of time a week usually for short trips etc.

if you only have 400 id spend it on a high quality shock and spring combo and put the money you have left over back in the kitty ;)

coillies are harsh mind but it just depends what your wanting from them, I Run AP's but am a big fan of KW's.

Im looking at getting the AP's but not had any experience with them, could you tell me what they are like please? are they really harsh?

They are stiff and you and feel pretty much every bump in the road but I ran fk then kW on me mk5 golf and that was also a ruff ride. Some people say there quite bouncy but I haven't experienced that with mine and the car gets drivin pretty wild at times. I like them.

I went for for just for the levels of adjustment,  the previous set up on my mk1 was koni with a lowering springs I think but either one was too soft or the other was missing fluid but they were very wollowy

Save some more money and get Kw's would be advice mate.
