Uprating suspension

Hi all,

i have recently finished a 20v turbo conversion on my 83 GTI tin top but am still running on pretty rubbish coil overs which were fitted by a previous owner. Has anyone got any recommendations for a good suspension upgrade that is capable of taking the extra weight upfront and help improve handling with the increase in power? I'm not really sure how much I should be expecting to pay, £800-£1000?

Bilstein b12 eibach combo? Or are you looking for coilovers?

I'm open to suggestions really, at the moment it shakes my fillings out every time I hit a pothole! I would like a system that will stay reasonably firm in the corners but takes the harshness out of the ride. I would also like to be able to keep it 50mm lower.

i have just read the thread a few posts down, pretty much tells me all I was wanting to know. Bilstein and Eibach seem like the way to go.
