howdy folks , sorry for all the questions I'm working on this cabby and was wondering about the wheels, they seem to be painted the same colour as the car which is Helios blue, are they factory wheels? What hubcaps should be on them? Thanks

They have 175/70/13 on them, a bit small for a gti?

Early Gti did have 13" wheels on them with 175/70/13 tyres, the wheels just look like normal steel wheels which some one has painted.
Don't know what hub cap would of been fitted?

Those wouldn't of been fitted from factory as Mark says.
Tarantulas on early cabbies or steelies.
Later Avus snowflakes.
What you have look similar to ATS cup wheels.
Not shure if they are though.
A quick google search should give you an idea.

Scrap that they look like later MK3 wheels.
Just looked again not ATS cups.
Need to go get my glasses on.
Sure I've a set of those in the shed with chrome Beauty rings on them.
Need to go through my shed again.
Stuff I've got I'm not gonna use..

While I will agree that they look like the OEM Steelies I had on my 81, they are missing the 4 holes on the inside, opposite the bolt holes as I see only 2. Those holes allowed the clips to hold the baby-moon caps on.
