New front suspension squeaks on bumps
I have just fitted new Monroe front springs, inserts, bump stops, Febi top bearings, and new camber bolts. I now have a squeak when I bounce the front, or drive over bumps. It's very annoying, I've done the Ford trick of some plastic pipe over the spring tail, and I've searched the forum to no avail, but I am a technomuppet. Any ideas?

After a runabout, the squeak has gone, but I have a slight rattle on the drivers side. I think one of Briano's comments I found about Febi top bush inserts being too long might be the answer to that problem, as the sound seems to be coming from that area.

LOL…. When I bought a new set of upper mounts, I had the issue that the bushing that went between the mount and the nut to exceed the length a wee bit, so I filed it a wee bit, I was more concerned with the hammering of the washer by the action of the piston rod having more travel than it should. I also tend to pack them with Grease, so that they rotate freely, and the underside of the washer as well I also place a modicum of Axle grease on the spring perches.
A nifty little trick I learned is that if you use a Childrens Dosing Syringe (Given away freely at the Pharmacy's (Chemists?) here, you can fill them with Axle Grease Vaseline, and oils to shoot a small stream where you may need it. I have also been known to place a piece of small hose on the end to reach around things.

I usually use white lithium grease in an aerosol with a long thin flexible nozzle attachment. It's leg out and file/grease time tomorrow I think. I can whistle these legs out now, it takes longer getting my tools, jack, and blocks out now than taking a leg off! (although I'm getting a little Peed off with what started with just a simple broken spring tail turning into a long running saga) It would be quicker if there was a central beam like on my Mk1 Escort to fire the car in the air centrally though.

Having taken 55thou off the length of the bush, (that's 1.3 mm approx!) No suspension rattle, but i can now hear a faint rotational tick, which goes if I apply the brake. I've not touched the brakes, will this torment ever end!!
All because of one broken spring tail.
Back in the air she goes! I hate cars I do.
I suppose I could ghetto fix it, just crank up the music.

A rotational tick can be that your brake shields are a tad bent. I had that, and near drove me buggers…
So if you can look at that with a flash light to see if you have shiny parts, or at the rotor edge, and make sure your anti-squeel springs are properly set, as well as your caliper bracket bolts are sufficiently tight.

I thought that, but as I parked it the garage I heard a loud whine and running feet, it was my Mojo escaping down the drive, along the road, and onto a bus into town!
I'll give it a coat of looking at maybe Friday.

Sorry to hear about your Mojo, but Mojo isn't everything, I lost my mind once, and well, when I found it someone had folded it in half and then stomped that sucker flat.

Sorry to hear about your Mojo, but Mojo isn't everything, I lost my mind once, and well, when I found it someone had folded it in half and then stomped that sucker flat.
Ha Ha , I know that schizzle well, the medics filled me with some very nice painkillers years back, cold turkey was a lady dog (swear filter got me! ) though.

Well, investigations have isolated a very faint squeak to the gearbox end (automatic ) of the long drive shaft, and only when the wheel is spun in a forward direction. I think I'll crank up the Fosgates

Wouldn't hurt to Drain the Oil in the Diff, and replenish or at least top it off.
