Yup, I fitted SPAX RSX around a year ago and was initially very pleased as I previously had JOM Coilovers which were terrible.

Im going to get KW V1 when I can afford them.

I'm thinking of going uprated dampers and lowering springs in the hope of a softer ride

Not a bad idea, I thought about it. Only problem is not having the ability to adjust ride height.

Why would you want to keep adjusting the ride height? Don't you just set it at the height you want? Get springs and shocks the right drop (don't buy cheap springs and shocks or you will have the same problem) or buy some better/more expensive coil overs that's the only way to get rid of the hard ride.
Buying cheap stuff is not always the cheapest option in the long run

I'd get a set of eibach or h&r springs. Or anything else of a good brand. Then get a set of good shocks, standard or shortened if you are going fairly low. Sachs, koni and boge do some good gear.

All depends on whether the car is for show or blow and how much you value your spine   and of course the ££

Yeah, once set you leave it…. but for me I want to be able to set them just right as Ive got staggered wheels. :$

Looked in to air ride but very expensive (2-3K fitted) and you hear horror stories about air leaks etc.
