do you have the fuel pump loom?
the wire (red with yellow stripe i think) simply comes from relay and splits into 2 - 1 for each pump

If its the same as polo nz injection, there are two relays, one has a red/yellow wire coming from it, which goes to a connector. This wire feeds both pumps. You may just be able to feed both pumps from the existing wiring, depending on the gauge and current rating of the components.

If your car was originally small block carb which i'm guessing it is it won't have had an intank pump just a sender unit so you'll at least need a new plug for the intank pump, i may have the loom for the twin pumps somewhere i'll have a look tomorrow

if you have a mk1 gti rear loom great, use that but splice in the lifter pump power to the main pump power. if not add a wire to e/14 for your fuel pumps then use either a kjet 8v relay in the fusebox or splice the polo fuel pump trigger wire to d/13 and fit a 67, 80 or 167 fuel pump relay.
you could splice 2 wires into e/14, 2nd one crimp a male spade on it and run your fuel injector and lambda heater wires to a female spade and plug in, just like OEM CE1 gti looms are
