I have just blasted both from hub carriers from my 1983 car. I have ordered a pair of bearings and hub in a kit. the snag I have is the bearings are the correct size but the cir clips are to fat to fit the recess.
Any thoughts Do I have odd sized hub carriers ?

There is a issue with some of the kits.
They contain the wrong clips that hold the bearings.
The one I have gotten are either to fat to fit in the slot, and or they have the incorrect ears.
If the ears are too round, then when you fit the axle and draw it tight then you will get a bind in the axle and it won't spin.
If the ears aren't flat, they aren't going to work.
You can safely re-use the old clips.
