Help!! Unable to select gears post eng/gearbox installation!!!

Hi,

As above, I've recently removed and refitted my engine and gearbox (complete) to have some bodywork repairs done in the engine bay.

Upon selecting the gears, I get nothing!

Is it possible that upon disconneting the linkage that I have managed to 'change' gear, and then upon reftitting it, messing up the selection??

This was my first attempt at an engine removal/refit, and I am not a mechanic, so please take it easy on me!

Is there a procedure for setting up the gear selection, that is easy to follow please?

If you have a Haynes manual it's in there for setting it up.
There may be guide on the home page of this website? (same as changing bushes???)
