Gear selection problem, please help

Hi guys I've just changed all the bushes etc with the kit I brought from crazy quiffs followed the thread on here, set the gap to 15mm and I cant get 2nd or 4th, reverse, 1st, 3rd & 5th are all fine what am I doing wrong ???? and advice would be great.

Sound like a problem with the gear linkage set up not the gear box, there is a bar which runs from the gear stick to the linkage and sound like it's not moving for enough forward to engage the gears.
Get some one in the car to change from 3rd to 4th while you are underneath so you can see what's happening and adjust the bar at the steering rack end so the linkage moves further forward.

did you do the 2 bushes between the bottom of gearstick and shifter to bay? i missed those and even with everything else perfect it was a bit hit n miss

No but I've ordered them along with a new ball joint thanks for the reply
