Building solid brake lines

Post

It's been at least 3 years since in ripped the lines out my mk1 to the front brakes. Need a guide on putting new in please.
Things I have acquired in this time are new flexi hoses and 9" servo and mc.

What fluid bottle will fit the master cylinder? Any mk2?

How much line will I need to buy and what's better, online or Gfs/euro etc? Also what connectors as I'm sure mine were all scrap?

Flaring tools? (on a budget)

And any fitting advice on bending, flaring, lengths to cut?

Sorry if such basic questions but I don't usually mess with brakes but need them sorting so I can fire up the conversion! :)

Hi Jim,

have a look here at link below , it costs a tenner more than the kit and the flaring tool, these are made to measure and have the unions on them.
just be careful bending them, bend then round a can or hammer, and apply mild heat if necessary.
avoid tight bends.

have a look at another golf with the original pipework for reference..
you cant go too wrong.
