Quick question

So the search continues for my upgrade and I may have found one from a 9 inch one from a Mk2 Jetta - presumably the Jetta is the same as the Golf one, can anyone confirm?

It's only got a 2 port master cylinder at the moment but presumably if it is the same can I just get a 4 port 22.2mm one for a golf and drop that on?

But regardless, has anyone fitted one from something else? I've been looking for a while now and there are lots on ebay that look similar and are a damn site cheaper (and newer) than Mk2 Golf ones that may be a source for the future…

Ive bought one from ( i think a clio 197/200) it has 4 mounting bolts and bolts on the same,  it appears to accept the 22mm master cylinder and has a clevis fitting.  Only fly in the ointment is its actually 10 inch and i think it will foul the plastic header tank. I just thought i would lift the h/t up slightly if there is room. Plus points are these are much newer than mk2 golf parts and  it cost £20.. Maybe other sizes are available..

Is it 4 port for a mk1? I thought we only needed 2.

it uses t pieces to go into 4 lines, so a 4 port is better.

Ah. Guess that gives me an excuse to buy a brand new one then. Cheers.
