Exhaust manifold gasket

Any ideas where I can get exhaust gaskets for a 4 into 1 down pipe not sure of exact spec but previous owner said engine is a 2.0 litre tsr bottom end engine that has big valve and ported head,also does anyone know how to identify if this is the case?

ones between head and exhaust? use the standard mk1/2 ones

Yes head to exhaust I've got a set but the head and exhaust that look as they they have been ported to match are bigger than the gaskets,looks like I'll go with them and modify them a bit ,thanks

Also worth getting 8 new copper nuts to fix the manifold to the head.

Yep that's them I'll go with copper nuts too,thanks for the advise

GSF used to sell them, I can't remember the size.

Are the studs in good condition still? Pointless getting new nuts etc if the studs have the thread rusted/chewed off

If the studs are worn you can either replace them, they was available from VW a few years back or if you have a thread file like this you can clean and restore the thread.

I always fit new nuts when ever the manifold has been off as the nuts are under a lot of stress with getting hot and cold all the time.
