The FYI means that if no one comes up with the answer first than John (rubjonny) might know.

check all the kjet basics as per this thread, ignore the 16v specific parts:
http://www.vwgolfmk2.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=25972

check timing markers as per this thread but ignore all the setup procedures:
http://www.vwgolfmk2.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=14915

fior ignition timing this is done at idle with vac line to distributor disconnected and plugged, co is done with the car sat at idle, no connectors to unplug but the breather parts apply if the oil is heavily contaminated

Hi bud.. you may have to source a new part from the States or elsewhere… then you got freightcarrier charges & the good ol' government Duty/VAT import charge to consider too…

try http://www.busdepot.com/049103499g

http://www.mtl-autoparts.com/apps/frontend/templates/index.php?Type=items&make=VOLKSWAGEN&year=90&model=GOLF&partType=Crankcase+Breather+Connecting+Pipe#.Vk7-YXbhDIU

also try www.fcpeuro.com & see of they can source one for you. Good luck… :thumbs:p.s. rubjonny is a VW legend
