yet another electrical issue! RH indicators on solid when ignition is on.

Hi all.
Got back from Le mans last weekend and back to the golf which we had left in Kent at my girlfriends parents house as we couldnt fit everything in it.
Just as well as a fat drunk danish man fell on me and the power steering of her new polo was welcomed on the drive home with a buggered shoulder.

But now the right hand side indicators come on solid when the ignition is turned on.
Ive unplugged the stalk, hazard light switch and the relay in different sequences and they still come on when the ignition is on.
There is 6v on the black/green wire at the fuse box and stalk.
The relay is new.
The hazards work correctly and all flash when turned on as do all the indicators flash when the alarm is armed.
RH indicators dont do anything when turning the stalk to turn right they just stay solid.
There is the wire for PL missing from the stalk plug.
Any one had this before?

Not sure if it will help but try removing all the indicator bulbs and giving them a clean and checking the contacts?

Thanks for the tip. Tried that and no help. All new bulbs and holders though.

Does remind me though that when I removed the RHS rear indicator bulb the rear tail light came on.

all sorted. Unplugged the horn and now the indicators work!
Now I have to decide if I would rather let people know I wish to turn right or let them know how if i'm irritated with them

There're is a earth lead/connection on the steering rack by the UJ joint which earths the horn, may be worth looking at that and give it clean.
