If like me you're not doing much crimping and don't want to splash out on an expensive pair, you can pick them for not very much.

These were the first I came upon in the garage… The pair on the right have colour coded dots to show which size connector the cut out correspond to.

20180417_115928.jpg Thanks mate!

I seem to have got lucky and fitted everything. But i have one random blue wire alone….?

I had another blue/ white wire with a label on it saying "system remote" im assuming that was for the aerial because when i connected it the aerial went up ….when disconnecting it the aerial went down….

You can use the other blue wire to switch on your amp if you have a subwoofer in the boot, the amp usually has its own power from the battery and an earth then a blue wire to turn it on when you switch on your car radio.

The manual for the Radio tells you which wire does what.  The Blue I think is industry standard for powered antennas and the solid blue/white was to turn the Sub amp on or off. I suppose one could be substituted for the other

Hey thanks for the feedback guys mark1gls

Whats thrown me off is that my previous headunit only had one blue/white wire. Whereas this head unit has two. One is labelled as system remote ….

I can see a dark blue wire in the boot, im going to try and follow this through. I had a feeling this was always connected to the blue/white wire in the headunit. But i think the aerial wire is instead. (i dont have a sub yet….)

Ok, so i have a black wire going from the boot to behind the audio.

This black wire has been crimped to a blue wire on the wiring harness

On the other side of the wiring harness is blue/white wire that is dangling out. Hence why i am question itd existence lol.

(I hope that kind of makes sense? )

The blue white wire that is connected to the antenna…it has another wire that is hanging out with a sticker on "system remote control" . I feel this wire should be connected to the the wire dangling out the wiring harness. Then technically the remote wire is connected to the head unit….. 20180418_145006.jpg 20180418_145048.jpg

I use my super champs to strip wire.
I use my ratcheting crimpers to Crimp.
