I wasn't asking for your opinion, I was suggesting a battery to the op. 👍🏼

I stuck a Yuasa 065 in mine, slightly larger than the stock, but it's got a bit more capacity.

My rebuild thread I will try and keep up to date: here

I've also got a Yuasa 065 battery, came from GSF when they had a discount on them.

I've always had Bosch batteries but last 2 I brought both with a 4 year guarantee only just lasted the 4 years. The one before lasted about 10 years so quality has seemed to dropped and that's why I switched.

3 years with the Yuasa and it's been ok.

My car is a daily drive and used through the winter so I need a good battery.

Sorry, should be 075, 063 is std (from memory). The one I have is black, think the grey one is a higher spec. Grey would have looked out of place under my bonnet!

Just checked and I've got that wrong….

063 (44amp) on my Mk1 Scirocco

075 (60 amp) on my Mk1 GTi cabriolet - daily drive.

Both will fit your car

Edit… Paceman also did the same as me with number.
