Washer / wiper fault

Hi,

I purchased a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet a few weeks back, and I'm in the process of sorting all the necessary bits out for the MOT. I have noticed the washers / wipers do not work.
The wiper stalk fitted to the car shows an image for the rear wiper (on a cabriolet?!). Should this work or are the pins assigned differently?

take the cowlign off and look at the base of the stalks you;'ll see the contact pads for the wash/wipe, buff the tips and give a slight bend so they make better contact. the pinout on tintop and cab stalks is the same, the cab/jetta just has a wedge of plastic in so you cant push the stalk forward

Thanks for the reply rubjonny. I already have the lower cowling off and can see the contacts.
Will buff and adjust them and see what happens.
