Reverse lights Not Working

Hi all,

The reverse lights have stopped working on my Mk1,a friend of mine said it might be the connector on top of the gearbox that could be faulty but I'm not too sure so any help greatly appreciated..

have a look on the box to see which switch you got, if its 2 pin simples just jump the 2 wires together and switch on the ignition see if the lights come on. if they do you know its the switch, if not then you know its a wiring, fuse or ligth problem.

if its the mfa multi pin switch its the black and black/blue wires you want.

you'll note that these 2 wires run to a 2 pin spade plug further up the loom, this is a good place for corrosion to build up as its not waterproof
