Mk1 rear wiper switch

Did the 83 mk1 golf c have a rear wiper fitted as standard? There is a wiper arm but no motor or relay fitted to mine (Although all the wiring is there). There also is no pin on the wiper switch to activate the rear wiper relay. 

some poverty spec didnt have the rear wiper, but if the wiring and arm is there i would say yes it would have had one originally. if it doesnt have a rear washer bottle then that would suggest that it wasnt factory fitted though

 the pin for the rear wiper is always there i believe, even if the arm is from a jetta or cabrio but what they do is put a wedge of plastic in so you cant push the stalk forward?  even if the pin is missing simply fit one with the pin and pop a motor and relay in then you're sorted.
