Hi guys
Just wondering what people have done to upgrade the stock speakers?
My 1983 GX has X4 6x4 speakers (2front, 2rear) which I would simply like to change our for newer versions.
I'm assuming like normal, you get what you pay for but I thought I would see if there is a common trend that people replace the originals with?
Thanks,
James

I've got these and so do a few others, the magnet is not to big so they fit nicely in original fixing without any need to modify anything.
They sound OK for the money, they lack a bit of bass but that's down to the design of where VW put the speakers but a Amp and Sub in the boot get around that problem..
