Mfa outside air question

Post

Evening all, glad to say most of my mfa works fine although there is no outside temperature reading, it just cycles straight past the outside temp back to the start as though it hasn’t got that option. I assume they do all have outside temp and there is the logo on the front to suggest it should be there. If it was a sensor fault I would expect a reading of some description , anyone shed any light for me pls ?

Mfa outside air question

Cheers, I have seen posts about it reading -40 which I would assume is open circuit, mine just completely misses it and moves back to the start, maybe it’s from an older model without outside air but I thought they all had it

For OAT outside air temp, I use my Phone or my finger.

If I touch the steering wheel, and it is to hot to hold, then it is too hot.

If I look out the window and there is ICE on it or frost and Snow, then I know it is 32 or below.

:)

Besides knowing the oat, isn't very funny when you are laying on the deck of a Helicopter in the middle of the summer in Louisiana, Sweating your hiney off knowing you have to get the Doppler antenna fixed, not a breeze blowing and you look up and see the OAT on the front window saying 120 degrees…. and you have to have a cargo pad to lay on as it is toooooooo frigggging hot.

My Seafarers and Chambray shirt went from bleached blue to Dark Blue with sweat stains, and ocassionaly folks would bring me out a cup of water.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
