Post

Hi Guys,

Today I found on a website in Chile (similar to ebay) this Stereo, it's Bosch brand and has VW Logo. I pick it up today (about 15 UK pounds for your ref)… I'm sure is For VW but not sure what model. Have you seen it in other VW in Europe?

I want to install it on my car

Thanks and Regards,

Max

Well I've no idea what model it is but I'm fairly sure it will fit your Mk1.
I've not seen one like that before with the logo, so I'm guessing it's from at least a Mk2 or higher.

But for that money, if it works and your happy with it, who cares!

Quick Google of the model number says it's original to 1980's Mexican market VW Gol's and Passats… It's on the inter-web so must be right!

Hahaha

The VW Gol is a low cost car for the south american market. They still produce the Gol, now under it's 4th Generation.

You may look here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Gol

There are many Gol's in South America, even in Chile; you can still see some 1st gen Gol in the street.

The name Gol stands for "Goal" in Spanish… Football is very popular here hehehe

Max

Well you learn something new everyday! It's hardly a looker though is it? The 3rd Gen (G5) looks like a Dacia Sandero 😂
