Hi wondered if anyone can help
My garage recently changed my rocker cover lid and also my anti freeze.
Ever since these have been done my temperature light constantly flashes. Is this just a coincidence or is it another problem. It's not overheating and there's warm air coming from the heaters. I've pulled the spade connectors off and on but that doesn't seem to help. Sometimes it goes off if I stop and start the engine a few times
Any help
Regards

Is there is right amount of coolant in the car?
The light flashes to show low coolant and which spade connector are you removing?

if it has a level sensor in the top of your header tank unplug it and bridge the 2 pins. if that stops it remove the level sender and clean the tips of the pins. if not look at the wiring and level warning relay 42/43 above the fusebox, if you pull it out this will disable level warning but the temp gauge and overheat warning will still work fine

It should have a sensor, it's fitted to the top of the expansion tank (where you put the coolant in) it's has a black electrical plug on the end with 2 wires coming out. If' it's not there then someone has changed your tank.
I'll try and get a picture later tonight.

Have you checked the earthing wire which attaches to the corner of the rocker cover, mine had a dodgy connection and when I fixed it, years of having a constantly flashing coolant light stopped!
Never knew why though

The sensor on top of the water tank is for the coolant level, it does not read the temperature.
Glad it's stopped flashing.
