Anyone used someone to repair cassette players recently?

So my original cassette player stopped working last year. I picked one up for free off another member which was untested and that didn't want to come to life either. So I'm just going to get one of these repaired and was wondering if anyone would recommend someone that fixes them? Seen a couple which Ive emailed but Ive no idea what price I should be expecting to pay.
Alternatively if anyone has one that they know works, is period correct and would like to sell it to me cheaper than it is to repair these I would also like to hear from you
Cheers, Santi

These days it seems the way to go is to get a Blaupunkt retro, looks old but modern features (DAB, handsfree, MP3/USB etc) and a warranty

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Have a look at the top of New Hall Lane, Preston.
There's a place called 'Dabhis Electrinics'. I've used him before and he got my ghetto blaster up and running well again. 😎
