Wing mirror removal

Only one screw?

I've looked in the Haynes and Bentley. I seem to only have one screw securing the mirror. After removing that, the mirror won't come out.

I can see a kind of nut inside the mirror…

That's where the cables run though. Am I supposed to try to remove it?

Also, there are 2 small holes in the bottom of the mirror. They just seem to lead into the housing.

Any thoughts?

When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the whip. The term has now been generalised to classify any automobile.

There are 2 screws.  Twist the mirror on the base and you see the one, then twist it the other way and you see the second.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Doh!

I hadn't realised the windows folded in that far.

Thanks.
