What tools do I need?

Post

Ok, so the first things I need to do with the car are as follows:

- Repair (if possible) leak that is coming through drivers roof handle (cabriolet)
- Look at the exhaust as to why its banging against the underside of the car
- Access drivers door catch and door handle mechanism as the door won't open properly
- Replace external door handles
- Whilst dismantling door cards (anticipated) replace front speakers/tweeters

For this you'll need a cross head screw driver and some luck.

- Look at the exhaust as to why its banging against the underside of the car
Torch would be useful. Plus if you're jacking the car up then put it on axle stands before going under it!!

- Access drivers door catch and door handle mechanism as the door won't open properly
Trim removal tools (somehting like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9-Piece-Upholstery-Trim-Removal-Tool-Set-to-Remove-Car-Van-Interior-Door-Panels-/300895444264?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item460ec41d28), WD40 or similar, large cross head screw driver, medium cross head screwdriver

- Replace external door handles
medium cross head screw driver

- Whilst dismantling door cards (anticipated) replace front speakers/tweeters
Cross head screw driver, pliers, wire cutters, wire crimping tool, wire crimps, electrical tape.

If you own no tools at all I'd suggest a trip to halfords and the purchase of a tool box complete with tools. It'd get you started and I think they can be had for around £50 or so. B&Q also do one weirdly enough!

Hope that helps

Do I really need that many piece trim removal kit? Seems a little excessive? I'll buy it if I'm likely to need all of those tools, but wonder if I can get away with half as many items??
