VW Heritage pop out rear windows

Hi

Not a huge poster on here but after some advice and not really sure where else to go

I bought a set of the pop out rear windows from VW Heritage, as car in mid respray and needed new rear window seals anyway these were in the same serach.  Man maths and a 20% off offer

Have come to fit them and the latches just are not up to the task and curious if anyone else has tried these parts and had any issues?

I have spoken to VW Heritage who have suggested the parts need to be returned but are reproduction so may not be spot on, not ideal for £320
