chopping 5 door panel to fit
Hi,
Has anyone chopped a 1982 5 door quarter panel and used it on a 3 door 1982??
The damaged section i want replaced is just the bottom corner of the quarter panel leading up the wheel arch and up to the petrol cap and from there back to the rear window..
I'm assuming that the panels for both the 3 door and the 5 door are the same in that area ??
Cheers

it'll be the same up to a point, there is no rear quarter glass obviously so you wont have the window frame on there but as long as its below this you should be ok. you can get the lower rear corner repairs on their own separately, though if you found a genuine repair panel id use that for sure!

This is exactly what I was going to do on my car before I found 3 door panels for sale. As Jonny says the part you want to replace is the same on a 3 and 5 door.
I have the NOS genuine 5 door repair panels advertised in the for sale section if you're interested.
