Looking for a bit of advice on restoring a parcel shelf. Two things in particular:
1. Recommendations for a resin or similar to firm up some of the weaker edges which have started to fall apart:
2. Recommendations for restoring the colour in the fabric, to make it more consistent. This shelf is a little sunfaded:

Paint the bottom Black 2-3 coats, and drill holes if you want or not.
Carefully peel your carpet off the old shelf Clean it and allow to dry.
Spray Hi-temp waterproof cement on the top of the shelf and the back side of the carpet, allow to flash for 5 minutes, apply and presto…..you have a new good looking parcel shelf. Use your old one as a template Measure it and drill holes in the replacement for mount points hinges and such.
Similar to what I did to make a new one for a customer.

Apart from being faded your parcel shelf looks in good order, not particularly bowed, but maybe need some more elastic to keep it in place when reattached to the rear seat.
Two solutions, one, replace the carpet with some sourced elsewhere, trying to find the right colour and carpet maybe difficult.
Two, restore the carpet, give it a clean / shampoo first, obtain a suitable vinyl dye paint (VHT and others available).

These paints are suitable for short pile carpet. I used one for my original faded blue interior carpet (my parcel shelf carpet was OK). See my project on pages 16. 17 and 24. There is a method of application, I am very happy with the results and did not use an aftermarket purchased earlier in the project..
Hope this helps.
